Careless driver causes accident near Bergsaker Hall

A vehicle rear-ended a car stopped for traffic near Bergsaker Hall on Tuesday evening.
Jayden Lottman, an 18-year-old Sioux Falls resident, was driving her 2016 Honda CRV west on 33rd street at 5 p.m. when she hit the rear of a 55-year-old man’s 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix, according to Sioux Falls police spokesman Sam Clemens.
The passenger in Lottman’s vehicle suffered minor injuries during the crash, including a possible broken wrist. The victim’s car experienced $1,000 in damages.
Police ticketed Lottman for careless driving at the scene. No Augustana University students were involved in the accident.
