Four AU students arrested in drug bust

Police arrested four Augustana students Tuesday night after discovering 485 grams of marijuana and other paraphernalia at the students’ house on South Covell Avenue, according to a briefing from the Sioux Falls Police Department.

Officer Sam Clemens said that containers, scales and bongs found in the home indicated marijuana was possibly being packaged and sold from the residence.

Nathaniel Raymond Eckerson is charged with possession of 1-10 pounds of marijuana, possession with the intent to distribute marijuana more than one pound, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession with the intent to distribute a controlled substance, keeping a place for use or sale, paraphernalia in a drug free zone.

Malik Kirkley Sanders is charged with possession with the intent to distribute a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, keeping a place for use or sale in a drug free zone, paraphernalia and possession of marijuana less than two ounces.

Trentin James Hymer is charged with possession with the intent to distribute a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, keeping a place for use or sale in a drug free zone, paraphernalia and possession of marijuana less than two ounces.

Montrell Matthew Johnson Moore was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana less than two ounces and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is currently on probation for a drug violation.
