Zach’s highlight reel
Troy Trojans at Appalachian State Mountaineers
The site of “College GameDay” saw the home team trailing late, praying for a miracle.
Down 28-26 with two seconds left on their own 47 yard-line, the Mountaineers lined up for one last play.
With three receivers to the right of the formation, quarterback Chase Brice took the snap. The Trojans rushed four and flushed Brice to his left. He stepped up and launched the ball short of the goal line.
The ball was tipped up into the air and caught by Christan Horn at the six yard line. Horn got a block by Kaedin Robinson and was able to scamper into the end zone as time expired to give the Mountaineers a 32-28 victory.
Arizona Cardinals at Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders led 23-7 with 8:52 left in the 4th quarter, but then the Cardinals scored 16 straight points, including a 2-point conversion in which Kyler Murray ran a total of 84 yards before he was able to sneak into the endzone.
The Cardinals were able to force overtime as both teams were tied at 23.
With 4:05 left in overtime, neither team had scored. The Raiders had the ball in Cardinal territory and were threatening to score, when a fumble by receiver Hunter Renfrow was picked up by Cardinal cornerback Byron Murphy.
Murphy proceeded to run the ball 59 yards to the endzone to give the cardinals the 29-23 victory.
