Houston Astros at New York Yankees
On Sunday, Oct. 23, the Houston Astros looked to complete their sweep of the Yankees and join the Phillies for the World Series.
In the top of the seventh inning, with runners on the corners and the game tied, Astros third-baseman Alex Bregman came to the plate. Bregman was 0-3 on the night until he connected with a 98-mph sinker from Yankees pitcher Clay Holmes, which he belted to right field.
The single drove in the winning run and led the Astros to their fourth World Series in six years.
